Thorsteinssons donates $125,000 to the building project

Thorsteinssons LLP began in 1964 when one of the country’s first tax lawyers, Paterson Thorsteinsson, QC (Class of 1951), returned to British Columbia to found the firm. Since then, Thorsteinssons LLP has grown to become Canada’s largest law firm practicing exclusively in tax law.

By specializing in tax law, the firm is able to provide the high level of skill demanded by clients and required by this complex area of practice. Lawyers at Thorsteinssons LLP are consistently recognized as being among the leading tax practitioners domestically and internationally, and are in great demand as teachers, speakers, authors and advisory committee members. The firm has also produced an impressive number of judges.

Through the years, Thorsteinssons LLP has supported the law school by teaching many tax courses and through donations to Faculty awards and course prizes, including the Adam Albright Award in Teaching and the Joseph Atkinson Storrow Memorial Scholarship in Law.

A group study room in the new law building has been named in recognition of this donation by Thorsteinssons LLP.
