Jyotika Reddy is a graduate of the JD Class of 2000 from the law school at UBC, having first completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1996 at UBC. While at law school, Reddy served on the Board of Directors of the UBC Law Review. She currently works as a Partner at the Vancouver office of Lawson Lundell LLP, having joined the firm in 2016.
Reddy was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 2001. From 2008 to 2013, she worked as an Associate at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP and as a Partner at Clark Wilson LLP from 2013 to 2016 before transitioning to Lawson Lundell LLP.
A banking and debt finance lawyer, Reddy represents and advises both borrowers and lenders. Her legal practice deals with a variety of banking and debt finance matters including secured transactions, loans, project finance, and restructuring. Reddy also has ample experience in commercial real estate law and development. In 2020, she was recognized by the Best Lawyers in Canada in the fields of banking and finance law.
Reddy is actively involved in the BC legal community. From 2009 to 2016 she served as the Legislative Liaison for the Banking Subsection of the British Columbia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association. From 2016 to 2017 she served as the Chair and currently continues to be involved in her capacity as a Member. Reddy is also a contributing author to the BC Personal Property Security Act Practice Manual and has taught a course in secured transactions as a Guest Instructor for the Law Society of British Columbia’s Professional Legal Training Course.
