Lana Shipley

Class of 2004-2005

Lana Shipley is a Partner at the Vancouver office of Lawson Lundell LLP (“Lawson Lundell”). Her law practice involves both commercial and corporate law with a specific focus on Indigenous, environmental, and energy issues. She represents a wide range of clients and frequently deals with a variety of regulatory bodies. Regarding Indigenous law, Shipley regularly assists clients in the negotiation of impact benefit agreements and similar instruments.

Shipley graduated from the law school at UBC with the LLB class of 2005. Prior to attending law school, Shipley obtained a Bachelor of Science from UBC in 1999.

Shipley is frequently praised for her contributions to the field of Aboriginal law. In the years of 2015, 2018 and 2019, Chambers Global recognized Shipley in the category of Canadian Aboriginal law. Similarly, in 2019 and 2020, Chambers Canada recognized her in the category of Canadian Aboriginal law.
