Peter Csiszar is a Partner at Harris & Company LLP (“Harris”), a well-regarded labour and employment firm located in Vancouver. His legal practice involves a variety of matters related to labour law, employment law, and human rights law, including collective agreement interpretation and collective bargaining strategies. Over his career Csiszar has appeared before a variety of courts and administrative bodies including the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, human rights tribunals, labour arbitration boards, and the Canada Industrial Relations Board. He has been recognized annually as a leading lawyer in Labour and Employment Law by Best Lawyers in Canada since 2006 and Chambers Canada since 2016.
Csiszar graduated from the law school at UBC with the LLB class of 1977. Prior to attending law school he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from UBC in 1974. He was admitted to the BC Bar in 1978.
Csiszar is a member of the Labour Law section of the British Columbia branch of the Canadian Bar Association. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the British Columbia Division of the Canadian Mental Health Association after having previously served as its Vice-Chair.
