Sanjeeta Johal graduated with LLB class of 2005 from the law school at UBC. She currently works as an Associate at Whitelaw Twining Law Corporation (“Whitelaw Twining”). Her legal practice primarily focuses on personal injury law. With extensive litigation experience, Johal has appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the British Columbia Provincial Court and the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal.
Prior to attending law school, Johal obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simon Fraser University in 2002. She articled at MacMillan Tucker & Mackay before being called to the BC Bar in 2006. After her bar admission, she began working as an Associate at Hammerberg Lawyers LLP in Vancouver. She joined Whitelaw Twining in 2009.
Johal dedicates ample time and effort to mentoring young lawyers. She is directly involved in Whitelaw Twining’s Student Committee and also volunteers with several BC law school initiatives—such as first year moots and mock trials—to ensure the successful future of BC’s aspiring lawyers.
Johal is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the British Columbia chapter of the South Asian Bar Association, and the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia.
